CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT CHROME PLATING is a proprietary, non-hexavalent chrome plating finish developed exclusively by Stutzman Plating -- the first of it's kind. Our California Compliant Chrome Plating is an identical match to traditional chrome, but without the toxic chemicals. Hexavalent chrome is slated to be outlawed in California in 2027, and we are the first to develop an approved chrome plating finish.
CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT CHROME PLATING is approved by California regulatory boards, the Air Quality Management District, and is considered safe for the environment. It's surface is harder than traditional chrome plating and is more durable. Unlike other facilities who have moved to using Trivalent Chrome which is darker in color, our California Compliant Chrome Plating is a color match to the industry standard chrome finish.
CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT CHROME PLATING is a breakthrough in chrome plating, having undergone extensive testing and customer approval. We are proud to have developed this environmentally friendly finish in conjunction with the AQMD. Why source chrome plating from oversees which is sub-standard quality? Stay local and get the best. Polished Chrome Plating is done by hand polishing the metal in order to achieve a highly reflective mirror finish. A plating operation in our in-house plating line is then performed by submerging the metal into a heated electroplating tank into our proprietary chrome plating solution. Once the metal has been plated, it is taken out of the tank and dried. It is then inspected for quality and undergoes a final operation where a polyurethane clear coat paint is applied which prevents oxidation and protect the finish.
Brushed Chrome Plating is done by hand brushing the metal in order to achieve a brushed surface. A plating operation in our in-house plating line is then performed by submerging the metal into a heated electroplating tank into our proprietary chrome plating solution. Once the metal has been plated, it is taken out of the tank and dried. It is then inspected for quality and undergoes a final operation where a polyurethane clear coat paint is applied which prevents oxidation and protectS the finish.
